Barclays lowers Russia’s 2018 GDP growth forecast to 1.8%
MOSCOW, Jun 21 (PRIME) -- The U.K. banking giant Barclays has lowered its forecast for Russia’s gross domestic product (GDP) growth in 2018 to 1.8% from 2.0%, Barclays said in a report seen by PRIME on Thursday.
The outlook for GDP growth in 2019 was kept at 1.8%.
Barclays also raised its forecast for Russia’s inflation to 3% from 2.8% in 2018 and to 5% from 4.3% in 2019.
Russia’s Economic Development Ministry earlier lowered its forecast for GDP growth in 2018 to 1.6–2.1% from 2.1%.
